I have always loved libraries. To me, stepping into a library is like starting a grand adventure. Books can take you anywhere and everywhere! You could meet a little girl stumbling through a common wardrobe into a beautiful new world, a boy who befriends fairies and never grows old, or a mystery solving teen named Nancy!
Besides the all of the amazing books, libraries have so much more to offer! I took a look at the events calendars for some of the libraries in our area, and here are just a taste of the kinds of things they offer: author visits, book discussion, story time (for ALL ages), business and career help and seminars, GED and ESOL prep and classes, writing workshops and clubs, computer and technology classes, arts and crafts classes and clubs, book sales, history and genealogy seminars, parenting clubs and classes, teen programs, movie nights, game and hobby clubs, and more!
And the one of the best things about libraries? They're FREE! So take advantage of this AMAZING resource and check out what they're doing at your local library! Click the links below for the library system in your county to see what's going on!
Akron-Summit's Green Branch is even having a special Library Week craft and raffle all week long!
