Happy Star Wars Day - DIY Infinity Scarf Tutorial

Today, May 4th is Star Wars Day, and in celebration of that, here is a quick tutorial for a Star Wars themed accessory you can wear without feeling too out of place.

This was so easy! Once I picked out the fabric, the whole process was over in 30 minutes. I used cotton which is a little easier to work with, but doesn't drape as nicely as some others types would. If you use a knit or something silkier, it may take longer because you'll need to take a little more care with the fabric.

Full Body Workout - Using Your Stairs!

It’s so easy to make excuses for not working out, but one of the most common excuse I hear comes from people who feel that they just don’t have time to get to the gym. I’m here to put that excuse to rest with a full body workout you can get at your home – by using your stairs! By putting together a combination of step ups, tricep dips, lunges and push ups, you can give yourself a full body workout in the comfort of your own home.

He's Got the Whole World in His Hands - Earth Day Activity!

Originally posted on Sara Carnes blog CLE Mama

This year for Earth Day, I’m seizing the opportunity to teach my daughter the importance of respecting and taking care of God’s beautiful handiwork we know as Earth.

They’ll learn about it at school, but I want to help teach her as a Christian why we should do our part to help the earth glorify God! The earth does not belong to us; it is the Lord’s, including everything in it (Ps. 24:1).

I’ve also been compelled more recently to make sure I’m teaching my children God’s word at home more often…and not only leaning on Sunday school and other church activities to teach them about God’s word.

It's National Library Week!

Happy National Library Week!

I have always loved libraries. To me, stepping into a library is like starting a grand adventure. Books can take you anywhere and everywhere! You could meet a little girl stumbling through a common wardrobe into a beautiful new world, a boy who befriends fairies and never grows old, or a mystery solving teen named Nancy!

Squat, Hammer Curl, Shoulder Press Combination

I’m excited to share another workout video with you. It seems like it has been a long time. This week I will be showing you a squat, hammer curl, shoulder press combination.

This exercise targets multiple muscle groups of the body. It engages the calf muscles, quads, hamstrings, glutes, abdominals, back muscles, triceps, biceps, deltoids, trapezius and the rhomboids (that’s a lot of coverage in one exercise).

Be sure to hold in your TVA and try not to arch your back. Proper forms is paramount in this exercise.

If you like this exercise, you can find more on my exercise page or subscribe to my YouTube page for automatic alerts when I add a new video.

Take care,
